The NSGA Foundation recently changed their name to the National Center for Senior Health and Fitness.
This page will be updated shortly after the conclusion of the 2009 Summer National Senior Games!
The National Senior Games Association Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation established for the purpose of encouraging, supporting and promoting the educational, research and other missions of the National Senior Games Association and its member State organizations, and serves as a vehicle for the receipt, management, protection and grant distribution of bequests, contributions, donations and other charitable gifts.

What is the NSGA?
- A not-for-profit member of the United States Olympic Committee dedicated to motivating senior men and women to lead a healthy lifestyle through the senior games movement.
- The organization that governs the Summer National Senior Games and other national senior athletic events.
- An umbrella for member state organizations across the United States that host State Senior Games or Senior Olympics. The NSGA supports and sanctions these member state organizations so that adults can participate in their state in events year-round that will keep them motivated to achieve greater value and quality in their lives by staying healthy, active and fit.
- A national association that works with state and federal agencies, colleges and universities to better understand and support healthy aging initiatives for seniors.
- An organization that partners with national leaders committed to senior health, wellness and quality of life.
- The NSGA is committed to providing information to support education and research initiatives enabling senior athletes and others to be better informed about ways to ensure healthy aging.

Donation Information
Your Donation will be used to provide:- Provide funding to individuals and institutions to foster research and educational initiatives directed toward the fifty and over adult population.
- Provide financial assistance to Member Organization programs for conferences, seminars and materials that help promote healthy lifestyles for adults fifty and over through education, fitness and sport.
- Provide grants to Member Organizations to ensure funding for program expansion, additional staff and other operational needs.

Our society offers tax deductions and other financial incentives for giving to IRS recognized charities. Realize immediate tax benefits and give when it meets your goals. - You can receive a federal income tax deduction for charitable lifetime gifts, if you itemize deductions on your tax return and keep receipts. You can receive a federal estate tax deduction after death if you've made charitable gifts to IRS recognized charities through your will, trust or beneficiary designation.

Common questions about contributions to foundations
- Goal: I want to make an immediate charitable contribution and realize the maximum tax benefits for myself and my heirs.
- Method: Make an outright donation of cash or appreciated assets.
- Goal: I want to make a gift but I need all of my assets to maintain my current lifestyle.
- Method: Include an outright bequest to the NSGA Foundation as part of your estate plan. This can be done through a will or a trust assigning certain assets to the NSGA Foundation as the beneficiary.
- Goal: I need to receive an income from my assets for the rest of my life, or for a period of time, but I want to make specific gift plans now that will provide me with some immediate tax benefits.
- Method: Establish a Charitable Lead Trust with the NSGA Foundation receiving the current trust distributions and your heirs receiving the trust principal plus growth after a period of time.
- Goal: I’ve heard that my children may only inherit a small portion of my retirement plan assets. I want to pass as much of those assets on to them as possible.
- Method: Establish a Testamentary Charitable Remainder Unitrust with the NSGA Foundation using your retirement plan assets.
Deferred gifts of significant assets, such as gifts of cash, appreciated stock or property or other assets are a remarkable legacy for ongoing support of NSGA Foundation and its mission.
Levels of Giving
The three (3) levels for contributions are as follows:
$25-$250 –Bronze
$251-$500 – Silver
$501-and above – Gold
