Michael Hess - NSGA Basketball Chair

Michael joined the NSGA’s Basketball Competition at the 2009 Games in Palo Alto, California and was hired as the National Basketball Chair for the NSGA in 2010. He was recently elected onto the NSGA Board of Directors at the NSGA Annual Board Meeting. Originally from Southern California, Michael played NCAA Division I basketball at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) where he later worked as an assistant basketball coach. He also played professional basketball in Germany. When his playing days ended he joined Adidas as the European Marketing Manager of the Basketball Division. He holds a PhD in business and is currently a professor of sports marketing and management.
